Many people live and work without the big, philosophical thoughts. But we carry a happiness and a gratitude over life and our inter-connectedness. If you’re curious about this part of us, you can read about some of our inspiration here.
E.F. Schumacher gave us the saying ”small is beautiful” and that is what we are; our oasis is small, simple and close to nature. The greatest beauty is often found in the smallest of places and that is the thread that runs through everything we do.
From George Ohsawa came ideas of peace, harmony, development and health that Karen has carried through life and that you are welcome to ask more about when you come to visit. Karen has worked intensively with this for 50 years and is happy to see that the world is starting to take notice and think more carefully about how the world’s resources can be used in a wiser and fairer way.
If you are hungry for more thoughts then we encourage you to read the works of Helen and Scott Nearing – wonderful moments in an old garden chair with the bees buzzing around you can give you a a taste of what these two people considered important.
